Hubei Mechanical and Electrical Research and Design Institute Co.,Ltd., built in 1959, is currently the only provincial-level, comprehensive electromechanical comprehensive scientific research and design institution with provincial-level in Hubei Province. In October, 2003, as approved by Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Hubei Provincial Government, The institute was integrated into Hubei University of Technology in October 2003, as approved by the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Hubei Provincial Government. It is located in the well-known Donghu Development Zone in Wuhan, Hubei Province, covering an area of about 45,000 square meters. The institute is mainly specialized in product the development of mechanical and electrical technology, and mechanical engineering designs. It is always in at the front of the electromechanical research and design through all the historical evolution during of the past decades. Since its inception, the institute's advances in national science and technology have made important contributions to economic growth.
