Global Partnerships
HBUT has a diverse international interactions and cooperative programs, and has established  over 80 partnerships with universities and research institutes from more than 24 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada,Britain, France,Germany, Czech, Finland, Australia, Italy,  Russia, Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Turkey, etc..

International Joint Program
The university has over 10 international joint education programs with 1,500 enrolled students.
As following is the joint programs information:

1. Sino-American Joint Program with Wisconsin University Milwaukee, 3+1 dual bachelor degree program, majored in Visual Communication Design and Product Design in the School of Art & Design, started in 2011.

2. Sino-British Joint Program with Angelia University of Ruskin, 3+1 dual bachelor degree program, majored in Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation in School of Mechanical Engineering, or majored in Electronic Information Engineering in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, started in 2014.

3. Sino-German Joint Program with University of Wuppertal and University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, 2+2 dual bachelor degree program, majored in Civil Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, started in 2008.

4. Sino-Czech Joint Program with VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, 2+3 dual bachelor degree and master degree program, majored in Finance in the School of Economics and Management, started in 2009.

5. Sino-French Joint Program with University of Paris-East Marne-la-Vallée, 4+2 master degree program, majored in Mechanics and Civil Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, started in 2012.

6. Sino-Canadian Joint Program with Lambton College, 3+0 or 2+1 dual associate's degree program, majored in Marketing, Business Administration or Financial Accounting in the School of Economics and Management, started in 2009.

Overseas Students
More than 300 overseas students from over 40 countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Vietnam and the Netherlands have studied at HBUT. HBUT Scholarship and Hubei Provincial Government Scholarship can be applied.

International Faculty members
Every year, about 50 long-term foreign experts and teachers are employed as professors or lecturers.
Over 30 foreign teachers teach English, German, French, Italy language and other academic courses at HBUT; some other foreign experts focus on researches and studies in specific areas.
Over 100 international lecturers pay visits to HBUT annually for academic lectures or cooperation.

HBUT Faculty and Students Exchanges
Every year, over 100 HBUT faculty members or staff participate the overseas training programs or academic exchanges; over 400 students go overseas for study or exchange programs to obtain international education experience. Overseas credits can be recognized by HBUT through mutual agreement.
