On February 17th, HBUT welcomed the first day of classes for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. On that day, the full-time undergraduate teaching activities of the whole school were fully launched, with a total of 178 classrooms, 569 classes, and 31738 participants in class. The school attaches great importance to the first lesson of the school year. All school leaders and officials at or above the deputy department level came to each teaching building early to welcome teachers and students to class, and conducted in-depth classroom listening and evaluation work, fully demonstrating their high attention to teaching quality.

On February 15-16, HBUT conducted a concentrated short semester defense. All school leaders visited the defense site of each corresponding college class, listened carefully to the students' defense assessment, and provided professional and meticulous guidance. According to statistics, a total of 20054 people from the whole school registered to participate in the short semester practical activities, with a participation rate of as high as 98.84%. Among them, 14234 students participated in projects provided by various colleges, accounting for 70.98%. 672 classes in the whole school actively participated in this defense and assessment activity, fully reflecting the school's emphasis on practical teaching and the active participation of students.

Since the start of the new semester, the HBUT's teaching operation has been in good condition. The majority of teachers and students are full of spirit and quickly immerse themselves in the teaching activities of the new semester with a good mental outlook. As of now, relevant leaders have attended a total of 73 classes, of which 64 classes were rated as "excellent" and 9 classes were rated as "good", with an excellent rate of 100%. This achievement fully demonstrates the excellent level of teaching quality in the school.
